Denis H. Mark
Mark was born and raised in New York City. He graduated from Tufts
University with a B.S. Degree in 1972, and he received his Juris Doctor
Degree from the University of Colorado Law School in 1976. In law school
he was a Member of the Order of Coif and a member of the Colorado Law
Review. After law school he was Law Clerk for the Honorable Norman E.
Berman of the Colorado Court of Appeals. During his lengthy career he
has tried many high profile cases in state and federal courts throughout
the country, and he has successfully argued numerous federal and state
appeals. He has been an active member of a number of professional
associations, including the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association where he
chaired the Amicus Committee that oversaw the preparation of “friend of
the court” briefs filed in important cases on behalf of the
organization. He has also served on the Executive Committee of the Board
of Directors of that organization. He is also a longstanding member of
the Association of Trial Lawyers of America and the National Association
of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He is admitted to practice before the
United States Supreme Court, the United States District Court for the
District of Colorado, several circuits of the United States Courts of
Appeal, the United States Tax Court and the United States Court of
Federal Claims. He is a member of the Colorado, Denver and Arapahoe
County bar associations. He and his wife, Laurel, have been active
supporters and members of a number of community and charitable
organizations, including the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Colorado. Mr.
Mark is "special counsel" to the firm.
