William C. Waller
Jr.
was raised in Nashville, Tennessee, prior to entering the United
States Air Force Academy where he graduated with a B.S. Degree in 1969.
While in the Air Force he served as a Special Agent with the Office of
Special Investigations. In 1976 he received his Juris Doctor Degree from
the Cornell Law School in Ithaca, New York, and moved back to Colorado
where he joined Fuller and Evans (the predecessor to Hamilton Faatz and
Waller, PC) as an associate attorney. He left the firm in 1978 but
returned in August of 2008 as a shareholder. During his career he has
tried many high profile cases in state and federal courts throughout the
country, and he has successfully represented many parties in state and
federal appeals although he has focused his practice primarily to the
areas of estate and business succession planning for the last 15 years.
He is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the
10th Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States District Court for the
District of Colorado, the United States Tax Court, all state courts in
Colorado and numerous circuits of the United States Courts of Appeal. He
is currently a member of the Denver, Arapahoe County and Colorado Bar
Associations. He and his wife, Karen, have been active in a number of
community charities and organizations, including the Make-A-Wish
Foundation of Colorado, the Anchor School for Blind Children and Rylan’s
Gift, which is a donor advised fund founded by them to support the
caregivers of individuals with severe brain injuries.
